Travel from Florence to Pisa

The best way to get Pisa from Florence is train.

Train station is at Santa Maria Novella which takes 10 minutes walk from Duomo. You can follow the route that showed below.

Trains depart from the station every 20 minutes and tour takes 1 to 1.5 hours.

Ticket prices (one way trip) are around 6€. You can use the following link to search current fares.

Below you can find some of the fares and schedule.

You can buy your ticket at the box office. You shouldn’t forget to stamped the ticket by a machine in the station before go to the train. Otherwise you may fined in the train. However I had not seen any control in train.

I can advice you that before get in train you can buy McDonald’s takes away menu  to eat in train like everybody else.

Last tip: Pisa station is not the final stop of the train and train does not wait at the station too long. Because of that one of our friends could not get of the train on time and he could get of at the next station. So after an hour please be careful and be quick.

Finally welcome to Pisa...
